● Saturday 11th Aug
Well here we are in Scotland. During the journey THREE people were sick on the bus, so we’re all very happy when we arrived! The hostel is great – it’s quite small and it’s in the middle of nowhere! There are six of us in each room. No time to write more – dinner time! I’m REALLY hungry.
● Monday 13th Aug
Yesterday started well, but then something horrible happened. In the morning we got ready to go walking. Before we left the hostel, the teachers checked our equipment. Each group had a map and an emergency bag with a mobile phone and some food.
Our problems started when we got lost. Ben Williams decided to go and look for the others. This was a BIG mistake! We waited and waited but he didn’t come back, so we decided to use the emergency mobile. Then we suddenly remembered – Ben was carrying it!
Honestly, it was terrible. We were really scared. We tried to find the hostel but it was getting dark and we were going round in circles. After about an hour one of the teachers found us. Later, we found out that Ben had a broken leg and was in hospital.
● Wednesday 15th Aug
We went to see Ben in hospital today. He’s okay but he’s really bored. He’ll be there for a week. His parents are travelling to Scotland – they’ll take him home when he’s a bit better.
